Lean Production at Regional Dentistry

The regional dental clinic is actively involved in testing pilot projects in medicine. In 2017, patient-oriented Lean Production technologies were introduced here.

About a thousand people visit the Regional CLinical Dental Care daily; more than 300 calls arrive at its registry office. The introduction of the "electronic registry" service and the installation of informat in the lobby made it possible to organize patient flows more efficiently, providing people with the opportunity to make an appointment through the information portal "Doctor 42".

Today the patient can get an appointment with a doctor without attending the initial examination room. The nurse will issue an outpatient card in any doctor’s office, and the doctor will determine the treatment plan and write out a referral for a diagnostic examination or for the surgery on a specific date.

All doctor’s workplaces are equipped with computers, an electronic patient card is fulfilled. The results of diagnostic tests are immediately send over the network to other treatment rooms.
